I just purchased the CEN MT2. I have already broken two pieces/parts.

First, I rolled the thing maybe going 1/2 throttle and broke a shock. Not the shock itself but the cap/top part, which isn't a big deal.

Second, today I was tuning the thing and before I shut her down i did a brodie(s) and saw both left side bog bone shafts hanging down. The one rear appears to be ok but the front has damage not the shaft itself but the front differential. The slitted part where the shaft goes, one side busted off.

I took a picture but it came out sh!tty?

Should I be concerned?

I looked into it, yes. Never heard anything negative.

The name of the part is "Diff joint cup" to be more specific.

Sounds from your description like things do break a bit easy on this truck.

Parts do break but from missed jumps, high speed rollovers on pavement, hitting immovable objects. In other words riding very hard or bashing.

I dont know how durable CEN is,but so far a few people I heard at my hobby shop who own CEN trucks complain about parts breaking easy.:ponder2:

PS The users who I heard complaining may be at fault and could have ended with broken parts no matter what truck they purchased.I will not say negative things about a product I have no tried and tested.

Cen was known for being a lower end truck, but in the past few years has come a long ways, but still has a way to go. Just like in life, ya get what ya pay for. Seems like in Rc, the less ya pay for a rc, the more problems ya have and vice versa. Me personally would start saving for a Hpi, Losi, Ae, Traxxas etc..

Well, given the title of the thread, I'm guessing you're wondering if you can return the truck for warranty reasons? I'm thinking no, but it cannot hurt to at least ask them.

I personally know nothing detailed about CEN, other than no LHS in my area sells parts.

Good luck!

Talk to CEN today, they said if anything breaks, just send the broken part/piece with a written description of how it happen along with a copy of the receipt and they will replace it... This is my first nitro so I didn't want to go all out. If I decide to stay with it I will upgrade and give the CEN to my son!
