I'm lookin for a reciever antenna hold-down disk. The little thing that clamps the antenna tube into the radio box. Mine went flying off to parts-unknown.

Anyone got one layin around, collecting dust?

the radio tray??? hit up got nitro? he got one. i know cause i sent it to him

Thanks man - it's that little round collar that goes over the antenna tube, to pinch it in the antenna tube mount, in the radio tray lid... I'll have to post up a picture of it in the mornin.

is it the X?? must be different then the older savage.

the older one had a mount point on the radio tray, that poked up through a hole in the cover.

If you have some spare fuel tubing around you can always make a sleeve that goes over the tube near where it enters the receiver tray. That should hold it in place...at least that is what I did when I owned a Savage.

See the small length of purple fuel tubing in this picture of my old Savage. Just an idea...

Hmmmm, seems the HPI Savage.21 manual is missing that part - the only part in the entire truck not shown, lol.

It's the little collar that goes over the "T" bushing, that the antenna tube goes into, on the radio tray.

My truck is the Savage.21, but it's more of an s.25/X hybrid. It looks pretty close to SkyMaxx's truck.

Unless, it's normal for it to not have a collar there?

mine didnt have a collar, it had a socket of sorts on the radio tray, that passed through the cover and thats it.

I guess mine was a freak then... I'll try the fuel tubing trick that SkyMaxx posted - thanks SkyMaxx!

One last question; the X radio box, does it have a better antenna tube holder than the savage.25 radio box?

Honestly do not know the answer to that one. Mine (the one pictured) was a first run Savage .21
