Hey guys, wondering if anyone on here has an extra Roto start back plate, or just some gears? I broke a tooth on the drive gear (where the shaft goes into) and really would like not to spend $13 for another set. So if someone has one, please, let me know. I got some cash I can pay something for it. Thanks. :fro:

i just moved & my stuff is in dissaray, but I'm sure i have one for ya ...ill look today

which you need big or little? i think i got two of the big ones

accualy rp i ment which gear, I'm pretty sure he needs the bigger ring one with the hex in it, but i just want to make sure. but that is a good question to. i guess when he remembers about us he will let us know.

Hey guys I'm really sorry, had some computer problems, and my mom didn't pay the phone bill, so I had no internet access all week. I went to Pittsberg, PA for a Monster Jam show, and the little gear, with the direct hook up to the wand broke a tooth, but come to find out, the Picco 26 has a cracked one way in the block, and it was messing everything up, plus the engine was over squeezed at OS Rocket, so it bound up extremely bad. Got all this fixed, and got a deal on a whole roto start for $15. So right now, I really really appreciate all the offers. I know you guys are really good with having stuff I need every once in awhile, but right now, I am good. Got everything in order, got everything fix, but I'm now broke cause of it, so..... got to recoupe. I'll contact you guys, cause I would like to have extra little gears, I got 3 big ones. Everyone, thanks again, and take care.:wasted:

I'm in the same boat. i got 2 big gears, and 2 working rotostart plates, i keep smashing the small gears. i dont know why

I think the most common reason the Rotostarts fail is because the user will continue to try and turn the engine over after 5 seconds have passed. If it doesn't turn over your settings are off, the Glow plug is bad, Ignitor not charged or its flooded. I have had mine and it turns over everytime. Anyways, hope you find your gear.

Not really. You mean to tell me that if a engine is totally cold it will fire in 5 seconds? Yeah right. I have my engines tuned exactly where they need to be. OS Rocket over squeezed the engine, and the piston was binding at the top of the cylinder, and with the power of the drill, snapped the wond, and broke a tooth off the little gear. The little gear is softer than the big one, because when something like the happens, or occures, it acts as a safty, so it does not break anything in the engine, or any of that. Its like Futaba has one plastic gear in their 9402 servos. Is the servo is shocked, or hit extremely hard, then the one gear gives, so that the whole servo is not trashed. It is also in there so the servo doesn't glitch with all metal to metal contact. Anyway, I really can't stand the roto start stuff, but nothing else for the Savage. I would love to put a Losi starter on it, cause they are alot better than HPIs, but they sit to low in the chassis and you can't get to em. Tryed it before I went and bought new gears for it. So yeah I got em, and fixed the binding, so this should last me a long time.
