That will work with MX-3S, dont want to spend too much as I need this for a spare car.
 
a JR receiver won't work with a Airtronics transmitter.
There are other brands you can use like Novak for example.

JR uses a different type of modulation then Airtronics. Even if the frequency is the same it won't work.

I disagree, I use JR rx's with my M8 and they work great. I also use the Novaks which work great too.
 
I have a Artronics MX3 and a JR XR3 They will not work with each other.

What Module are you using in the M8?

Maybe a $400.00 transmitter will be made a little more compatible then a $100.00 transmitter.
 
I have used the stock module with crystals and I am now using the Novak module. I was runnung the XS3 and everything is compatable--Airtronics and JR are the ones that are compatable usually--I have a friend who has run his MX-3 with one of my trucks using a JR RS310
