I have been playing around with a program called VMWARE
It is cool if you notice in the photo i am running Linux in a window on my XP Pro desktop. It runs just like its on its own computer. I can specify ram size and hardware.

I was thinking the same thing....LOL To tell you the truth I have not had too many issue with XP. Certainly Gobs better then 3.11,95,98 flavors...

I love VMWare. Mostly I use it for testing install scripts and crap.

I'd like to know how to run Kazaa in VMWare. Keep the dirty little bugs in their own box. LOL I'm too cheap to buy the non spyware version. ( Oh, if you try and run Kazaa in VMWare, it says something about a debugger in memory. It's probably an anti-hacker/cracker thing, but I think vmware uses some of that debug technology to get the job done. )

I run Virtual PC on my Mac to provide me with a PC environment for my online coursework and research into MS based DB management and the like.

The comment about running a stable OS on top of an unstable OS is humorous. I run an unstable OS within a stable OS. I must admit that XP has been pretty decent for me excepting the fact that it is a resource hog. I enjoyed Win 98, but XP seems to get the job done just as well.

Same here Sky, but I run 2K in VPC. I think it's cool in that I can duplicate the "OS" file and experiment with finding out where spyware comes from. Linux is also cool to install in VPC.
