Ok, first off excuse me for being a nitro newbie. I hate asking dumb questions.
The roto-starter on my Ofna-Violator has gave me nothing but trouble.
The 1-way bearing on the back plate is not tough enough for the compression of the .26 motor (IMO). I want to buy a starter box and not use the roto-start any more... I have never even seen one before and I'm not totaly sure how they work. I need to know what to buy as well. Please help?
I also would like to replace that bearing as a back-up, but I can't even find a part number for it to figure out what to buy..

OH btw, the Buggie rips! I love it, when I can get it started!!

Actually the back plate is tough enough but dont load it by squeezing your roto start for more than 5-10 sec at a time, youll damage it, wait a little and try again.

The Violator is an awesome buggy, I just got a 2 speed and am going to install it soon.

The Ofna True Start boxes are nice I just got the crome top one for my buggies.

it has a big 12v motor and has alot of torque. youll also need a 12v gel cell battery for the box. I'm sure the box will work with a violator, or any buggy on the market.

Have you thought about using Two 7.2 volt batteries in your box, makes a huge diference in power and sustainable battery life, gels are pretty ordinary, I've been running gels for years and have only just changded to 2 x 7.2 bateries out of electric cars, what a difference it makes

thanks for the tip ill try that next time i do have a couple of 7.2 packs laying around.
