A few weeks ago we had the 3rd annual Vintage Race at World of RC in NC.

It was a great event. I didn't have any entries but came out to take some pics.

yes great facility. Track changes every 3-4 months.

Join their FB group and make some plans to visit. It's a rural area so hotels are cheap if needed.

FB and I parted ways a few decades ago.
Maybe I will try to convince Mrs. Certified to join... She LOVES getting R/C updates!

Seriously, its EXACTLY my brand of R/C heaven!!! Maybe wr can work out a road trip some day.

There were people from as far away as PA and CT. Really great crowd. Awesome track was fun to drive but not abusive on the cars. I raced it in novice and 2wd SCT a few days later and drove it before they mellowed it out. Fun track.

It looks fun! Some of those pictures look like action shots from RCCA magazine BITD!!!
The ride from Maine might be a bit long but we'll see if we can work something out maybe. I'm still a long ways off from being ready to race.
The Mid project is just starting to find its way out from under the Xmas chaos.
I do have a bunch of vintage stuff I could try to get running with the 30 year old electronics, radio gear... Would be a FANTASTIC reason to get my old Mid dusted off and ready to race again too.
Too much to think about!!! I have a year to get ready, right? I'll need it!!!

The softer dirt track is what the old R/Cs were built to run on!!! That must really have been a blast to run with some of those other classics!
