I was driving my revo today for about 2 minutes after i tightened my brakes up a little bit and i hit the brakes one they work fine so I'm driving and in like a minute or 2 the truck isnt stopping and i have no brakes, i stop the truck manually (my foot into the truck) and i notice that one of my pads is missing? Also i touched the disc and it burned me, is this normal that it could happen or did i do something wrong?

When they get that hot, it usually means they were too tight and dragging. Is it possible that the disk was missing before you tightened them? Maybe that's the reason you needed to adjust them.

no the disc and everything was there bc i made sure what it was is that when i would hit the brake the pads wouldnt grip so i adjusted them and i guess it was too much so ill get some new pads and look into the carbon fiber disk

You might also want to check out adding in the center differential and rear brake kit. This adds a second set of pads and a discs to help bring it to a quicker stop.

how hard is it to install cause i hear that for racing they help a ton

Sounds like your brakes were a bit too snug and you got the pads super hot and delaninated one. Replace and be carefull on your adjustment

^+1.
I tore off one of the pads on mine, too. Make sure the screws that hold the pads on are symmetrical. I think the manual says a 1 mm gap between the front shoe and the screws. You can also cut springs from a pen and slide them on there. That will make sure the pads separate from the discs when the brakes are released.

Installing the center diff kit requires removing the transmission and opening it up. The kit includes the Forward Only Conversion which makes the transmission a lot tougher as well. Once the transmission is reassembled, the brake kit is added before reinstalling the transmission on the chassis.

ok thanx.. maybe for now ill just get the new pad so the brakes work and over the winter put in the two upgrades so that i dont have to worry about having a set time so i can learn how to take apart my truck, but i wont be running nitro in the winter, I'm gonna start racing electric this year.
