Tried it - It was ok, kind of a crappy setup though (at least for my maxx, the cable to the rx is too short to work with the loop that goes around the head to take the temp, so theres nothing to secure it to inbetween)

I ended up just using it as a failsafe which it did do it's job and is fairly programable but it ended up getting jarred once and then started being flaky so I replaced it.

I have one in my toolbox. I used it on my Revo until I went Spektrum. Works great....I use that or my Onboard MIP Temp gauge when tuning for a long period of time. It reads within 2 degrees of my temp gun typically.

I thought it was the best thing in the world for keeping a good tune in the fall in Oklahoma. I kept one on my Revo even after I got the spektrum. I had to disconnect the failsafe for the radio to work right but it still monitored the temp and battery voltage. I've still got one NIP for the Savage just haven't really felt the need to put it on since tuning ability has gotten better.

Yeh i bought one and installed it the other day, seems great and it was functioning correctly, but when i took it outside to have a bash, the fail safe was locking on my brakes from almost half the range that i usually got? Anyone had this problem before?

What kind of radio are you running? You can not run a spread spektrum radio with the failsafe connected. You can however still use the venom with just the battery and temp hooked up.
