what is everyone's opinion on these, are they pretty accurate? i put mine on my rc10gt for the first time and ran it through a tank. after i shut down the truck, i hit the recall and the highest temperature reached was like 180. from what i've read, shouldn't it be running in the 220-240 range? is this temp monitor inaccurate, or is my truck not running right?

I like them for the fact that they can record your highest temp, but that is only for cool factor. In tunning an engine you do not want to tune it just by temp. I bought one of those cheap Duratraxx (sold under a few brands) and it works great. You really want a ballpark with a temp gun imo and 3-5 degrees off is good enough for me. I tested this gun against the expensive Rayotech and it was never more than 3-5 degrees difference.
