Now that hunting season is over and my jerky season begins :celebrate3: anyone have any good venison jerky recipes? I usually have my ground and use nesco's seasonings (Good stuff by the way) but figured Id try some new ones. (I've yet to grind it up)

I'm no hunter and I don't personally care for Venison, but I'm thinking a good start to Venison jerky may be a dead deer...but I'm guessing!

I don't hunt either, but I have had deer jerky, and by far it blows away any beef jerky I have ever had.

I was never real keen on venison either till like last year. I got a wild hair and made the backstraps and man were they good. And I made a batch of jerky for my dad to take fishing and I tried it and been hooked since. Good good stuff. Id rather eat it than beef jerky I think. So nice and lean.
Venison does tatse different in different climates though. I know even the deer from up north taste alot different then the deer around here. Deer up north (In minnesota) have more pine needles in there diet where the ones around here is basically beans and corn..

Just looked like a good place for me to put another of my useless posts....
One of the guys at work brought some deer meat in Wednesday. Best I ever had! Damn it was good.
I think the only thing I have had better would be rabbit.
Gun season starts Monday here. Bow has been in for 6 weeks or so?
