I just came across a Vendetta w/ a Mamba "Pro Comp" brushless setup. The previous owner tried to take on a car apparently, so the right-half is pretty much gone. The chassis is in Excellent condition, along with the shocks, towers and the left side. Its an uhmm... "Sliding" chassis? Kinda? No TX/RX, and ofcourse the arms, axles and carriers on the right side need replacement. I payed $80. I look at it this way - I got a $130 brushless for $80, and the half-buggy came with it for free! Atleast I've got a toy I can pack in with my clothes when I go out of town for work.. My Revo doesn't quite fit.

I'm thinkin about $60 to get it back to rolling, and the cheapest 2-ch micro receiver I can find.

Such a deal! I love my little 1/18ths as much as my Revo. They're great when I have to travel because my RC18t and RC18r take up 2/3 the space my Revo does...

Enjoy your new toy. The Mambas are killer! I have one in my 18t.

Anybody else running a Vendetta? What parts are known to break that I should look to upgrading now instead of later? Pretty much what I've got to replace, I see mostly just stock parts - maybe go aluminum carriers - those are $30 a set. Doesn't seem worth it unless those are weak spots on the buggy. I'll probably pick up the DT adjustable turnbuckles, if not Titanium stuff. How about tires? The stockers are pretty small and simple - Anybody change these out? I noticed they're screwed in with a phillips driver... Seems a little cheezey, any better setups for that? How about runnin Inferno wheels? I know those are bigger, too big maybe?

Feedback appreciated!

Mike
