I need a new chassis and I am between getting the Revo Platinum Chassis and the Vantage Carbon-Fiber Chassis. What is your opinion?:)

I'm pretty sure the Platinum chassis is the same as stock but titanium anno'd. I would go with the Platinum chassis. I wouldn't want to scratch up a nice CF chassis. The CF chassis would be more for a racer.

I heard that the vantage chassis can crack easy,is this true they say that its a stronger chassis than the platinum.thanks for the input though I am just going to pick up the platinum since I never had proplems with my blue 3.3 chassis.:)

OK, according to the RCCA mag i was reading last nite (an old back issue) The 2.5 (yes i said the mag was old) Vantage carbon chassis is lighter by something like 60 grams.

Would i use one ? no.

Why wouldn't i use one ?, carbon is ok and all, but alloy is more appropriate for a basher and a rig that is going to take abuse. As was said, leave the carbon chassis for use on a racing rig only as that is where it pays the most reward, other than it is easier to damage a carbon chassis under bashing conditions than an alloy one.

Ask revo_rob_1984, he twisted his alloy chassis, if that was carbon, he may have broken it (though don't quote me on it).

yes i twisted my alloy chassis and i couldn't beleive it. . .but you should have seen what i hit to do it and how fast i hit it, and the abuse i put that thing through before i hit that damn parking concrete/thing. . .i have no idea what it was but it p**sed me off BAD. . and if i would have had a carbon chassis i am pretty sure that i would have shattered it. . .hope this helps

Thank you again I am going to get the platinum chassis,it would tick me off spending money on a CF chassis when an aluminum chassis cost half of that.:D

i would defenatly go with the PE over the carbon, alot of people who have the carbon chassis say it flexes alot & eats spur gears like crazy. they usualy add this thick alluminum brace to help with the flexing but adds more weight.
