I went out on my way to church this morning and found this:

VANDALS SUCK!

It took me 2hrs to vacuum the glass out of the truck. Pieces were everywhere from the window to dash. :angry:
 
No,just a smash and dash. The only thing of value in the truck was a new jug of Prestone anti-freeze @ $18. Doors were still locked and there was no evidence of what they used to break it or anything.
 
Dude, that sucks. Glad they didn't get anything really important like RC stuff or guns.
 
might of been a pellet gun or bb gun if there was nothing you found in the truck.. that is bullcrap!!!!! and you know the same people that did that could have it done to them and they will never feel bad about what they did still!!!! some people need to get jobs so they dont have that much time to do stuff like that!!!!

A bb gun only would make a little hole, it wouldn't bust out the rest of the window like that. More than likely they had a bat or something and just hit it. Hopefully the vandals got cut from the glass that gets infected.
 
I don't know what would be worse. The cleanup and repair, or the fact I wouldn't know who did it so I could get some payback x10.
 
Damn thats crappy luck! I had my car busted into, and completly stripped of anything in value inluding my first hobby parts box and a $200 MP3, over 300 cds in a case, and a CD player face.....

I was in downtown ghettoville though and was too high to remember to lock my doors, so that is partially my fault lol.

Not in glass like this. If it's punctured, it all shatters. Looks to me like it's tempered glass. As a nice bonus to vandals, the shards from tempered glass usually doesn't cut. Mythbusters used a air gun to break rear windows in a myth they busted.
 
I always thought auto glass was designed to spider and crack but not shatter to help keep the glass from flying in someones face during an accident? In mythbusters did the window completely shatter in like this?
 
Only the windscreen is laminated glass, everything else is tempered glass. And yes the windows did shatter like that. Both the rear and side windows they did for the getting out of a car under water myth.
 
My dad had an old rear window from his Toyota pickup that I shot at with a pellet rifle a couple years back. One shot and it shattered just like Randy's, but not to the extent of his. Only the area around the entry point blew out.

His looks like a bat or something else was swung into it.
