I've seen some people run a "screen", but most just leave the holes open. Make sure to round the corners when to put the hole in it, if you leave them squared they will split and spread.

i have holes cut in all my windshields and i dont use any screens, you will get some dirt that comes through the holes, unless your running in a lot of sand, or very fine dirt, just clean your air filter as needed and you will be fine !

Just protect it like racers do there engines with small zip ties and fuel tube at 4 points around head.

another great way to protect your head! you can also use larger zip ties, and cut them a little higher if you dont use the fuel tubing !
