Flat out drag race. We don't have any tracks around here close. Or even a hobby shop for that matter. Closest one to me is 60 miles in one direction.

why come on a t maxx thread and crap on bout your tank, which by the way most likely has a .28 or bigger so its not really a contest

I bet snooks tmaxx will kick the crap out of this guys savage. He either doesn't realize who snook is or have any clue about his upgraded maxxes. I wanna see this embarrassment.

i can beat my mates savage wiv a lrp.28 its a fair contest mines a got .28 too
but all this savage v maxx stuff is like comparing chalk to cheese it all boils down to personal preference

If you guys would do a forum search you would see that at one time I used to be on the T-MAXX section all the time I had two of them a Pro .15 that got stolen and a 3.3. True I don't know who Snook Man is or have a clue about his upgraded maxxes......But niether does he know who I am or have a clue about my Savage. The damn thing could have a jet turbine on it for all you guys know. Nothing wrong with a little friendly smack talk to keep things interesting. No need to get all snippy.

Not trying to be snippy man. Your right we dont know about your savage. And that would be sweet! A jet turbine on a savy! Lol. I would just like to witness the drag race with snookman because i know about a few of his rigs. Just search him out and read up on a few of his projects. And yes they are all monsters that are still made with tmaxx parts. I would like to see your savy too. Post some pics

yeh but not much the only difference is the cooling head if ya already got a 2.5 just buy the the 2.5r head and bolt it on
it should allow you to run a little cooler thus being able to lean out a touch

i have both. new factory maxx. And a used one with 2.5r. just wondered if i should switch them. thought about making an air duct either on top, front or "passenger side. with a cardboard vent
to help cool. would it work? if i break it its cardboard.. hafta cut body a little though.

Just drill some holes in the windsheild to get some extra airflow over the cooling head.
I wouldn't waste a lot of coin on the 2.5R head, unless you can get a new or like new one for around the $10 mark.

Just get a 3.3 lol, if you get a roll cage an run it with no body it will keep temp down also

i'd agree with nitro4910 on the head not really with the time and money
as for the windshield just get a dremel and cut out the windsheild be careful not to cut too much as it weaken the body alot

if i partially cut the windsheild should i put a lite weight filter on " small peice of papertowel even" to
reduce dirt blowing directly into th airfilter.

I've seen some people run a "screen", but most just leave the holes open. Make sure to round the corners when to put the hole in it, if you leave them squared they will split and spread.

^^ +1 on the rounded corners. You can also use a 1 or 1.5 inch hole saw to cut a perfectly round hole in the windshield

Also RB MODS makes a turbo button cooling head for the 2.5R that makes it produce more rpm and better cooling with a turbo plug. $30 on the website.

i checked out the rbmods head NICE. looks like it may be taller. will
it hold up when, yes when i roll.

Just protect it like racers do there engines with small zip ties and fuel tube at 4 points around head.
