so I'm learning a lot about the tmaxx . FUN FUN FUN... Anyway parts break, as they do
I'm trying to upgrade. Will the aluminum lower braces hold up better than the stock
ones?

Yes on the lower chassis braces. But stay away from aluminum suspension arms. Go with RPM nylon on the a arms. Aluminum bulk heads and skid plates and possibly even aluminum shock towers. The only downfall is the aluminum parts will make the rig heavier. But it does look cooler!

+1 on what Zdragon said. Aluminum down the middle and plastic on the outside. If you do go aluminum shock towers I recommend keeping the body posts plastic. The idea is create "break" zones or "crumple" zones that will protect the more critical parts of the truck. RPM cannot be beat for durability. I hit a solid object at about 45 mph, the RPM arms held up perfectly well, but my steel CVD bent.

this pretty much covers it !

The best upgrade is when you get tired of spending cash to fix your broken T-MAXX sell it and get a Savage X or XL. They hold together much better and they are faster too.

Aluminum chassis braces will definately hold up better.

Stay away from integy parts, they are soft like warm butter.
The only thing they make well is their shock springs & Ti Nitride tools.

I have had Traxxas rigs. A Sledgehammer, two T-MAXXes and a Revo. I kicked them all to the curb when i found out first hand how much tougher and more durable and faster the Savages are without major modifications.

how about strictly racing on a track, i would have to say the revo hands down for handeling.

Strictly for a track why not get a buggy/truggy and not worry about it. Who cares which MT handles best .... They are monster trucks not race cars. If I want to race I will get a nice durango buggy!

Laugh all you want. My Savy is a freaking beast. I raced a T-MAXX with the picco.26 and blew it into the weeds. It wasn't even close.

was this a flat out drag race, or on a track ?
