I want to upgrade my tmaxx 4910 to 2.4ghz receiver and controller and i was wondering what system should i go with. I can get a traxxas receiver and controller for about 65 dollars on ebay is there something else that would be better for about the same price. Also would i have to change out my receiver box or no?

You would need to change the RX for sure. If you want the Traxxas system, you can get the TX/RX pack from them for 62.50

Well i still have reverse in my truck (haha yes i know get rid of it!) so i would need the 75 dollar one from them and have to give them my old one or i could spend 65 on a 2.4 rx/tx pack from ebay and keep my old one. I should b able to keep my old receiver box right?

What do you mean by reciever box? Are you talking the reciever itself or the box it goes in?

Id go with a better system. Spektrum, futaba, something like that, then as you expand your RC garage, you can just buy recievers and run all ur rigs from one controller.
