lx upgrades

ok, what else i need to be able to race the lx?

i have front and rear pbs, front & rear double shock towers, hyper .21 8 port race engine, upgraded brakes, front and rear cva's, hi-torque steering servo, diff oil (5k/7k/1k).

any other ideas?

What don't you like about your buggy? There have always been 4 methods to upgrading, "bling bling," just because, you broke something, and to reinforce your existing setup. Which one are you looking for?
 
i just want to reinforce the exinsting setup, and make the buggy better all the way around and be able to take it to the local race track and not break too many parts, i can drive the hell out the buggy, but i just want to make sure about my equipment.

what is this?

the only way you'll know if your car is ready for racing is to get on the track and either race or practice really hard.

Personally if it was me and I was not sure what to upgrade I might think about waiting until something or things break to find out where it's weak.
 
double shock tower is two of the towers together, i did that to avoid bending the towers if i land upside down. the pbs was to replace the kinping setup with 6mm axles that came with the buggy.
 
So what about the SHOCKS the screws and the rest ot the casualties from landing on your lid or have you perfected landing on your shock tower without touching your shocks?
 
mx125 - the answers you'll get from a question like this is going to be personnal experiences from different people, different buggies, different driving styles. Whereas I might tear up shock towers, EP might still be using the good old stock ones. EP is known for stress testing his equipment and because of that he runs top notch stuff. But rest assured as with many of us, he didn't run right out and buy that new chassis made of
unobtainium. He probably waited until it was absolutely necessary. Trust me, even with all the top of the line upgrades you're still going to break stuff. The way to make your ride last from start to finish is to take care of it with your driving. If you can't make the triple, oh well. I hear what you're saying. What can you do to make it better ? Maybe nothing, maybe alot. Time will tell. I upgrade when I need to...........not when I want to.
 
I think titainium used to be called unobtainium until it became more widely used. Anyone else heard of this?

I've never heard of anyone doubling up the shocktowers. That seems major overkill....I've slammed my Ofna Hyper 7 around with a vengence and never even tweaked the tower. I'm thinking that doubling the towers provides nothing but a lot of extra, unneeded weight.
 
i have not bend the towers or landed upside down yet, the stock towers are just 3mm and i was told that they were not the best quality.
 
I think that was my first upgrade. I bent the stock towers on my Storm from landing hard and landing wrong. Not from landing on my roof or hitting things, but from the wheels compressing so hard so fast it actually bent the tops of them. I gave them a second chance and replaced them with more stock ones but the same thing happened. So I made the move to the Hardcore Titanium ones and haven't looked back. Titanium is great stuff. It's a strong as steel and as light as aluminum but I wouldn't use it everywhere. Some stock pieces just can't be beat.
