I have a Revo I will run in a large mowed field. I would like to upgrade the speed top end. I talked to a LHS about a plan that they say will cause my truck to flip alot. The plan was as follows:

Wasp .28
wide gear set (eventually steel)
3 aluminum shoe clutch
16-18 tooth clutch bell

Does anyone have build like this or another top speed Revo build?
(still wanting torque, but not rock crawling)

Many thanks to all replies.

i dont have a revo but i hear most put the sirio .23 and love it
i think the wasp .28 would be to much for that truck

Whoever said you'll flip alot is a dope. The Revo has a hard enough time pulling a wheelie because of it's design. How bumpy is the field? You can adjust your setup if it's really bumpy but the truck shouldn't flip. You can also adjust for that out of the hole punch.

The field is mostly flat, the bumps are off to the side. Thanks for your input.

Obviously you havent seen the video of the revo with the OS .18 in yet then

Why would I need to watch a video of someone's truck to know. Yes it's possible to do a wheelie, but reading his setup it looks more like he's going speed than torque. Anyone can adjust their gear ratio and clutch to make any truck do a wheelie, especially with that motor. AS I said the design of the Revo makes it difficult to do not impossible.
