What's up guys,
I'm having a little trouble keeping my slipper clutch from slipping, I've tightened it down as far as it can go and it keeps slipping, on a half of a tank it's spun I full turn.
I'm looking for a better slipper clutch than the stock set up on the 3.3 gray trans, does anyone know of a very good set up that can handle the torque that the .32 puts out.
Thanks guys.

i need a better one for my jato. i called this outfit they said they dont have one for a jato. but do have for tmax. robinsonracing.com if they do have one that fits a jato let me know. [email protected].

I saw Robinson racing slipper, I don't know if I like them and I don't know any one that has used it to ask how it works.

Have you replaced the nut I had a similar prob I replaced the whole rebuild kit is bout 10 bucks works a treat
Jato slipper is the same as all others
There is a heavy duty rebuild kit for the erbe comes with ali pegs insyead of fibre

i recently put the hd slipperclutch rebuild kit and it works great. I dont think your supposed to totally flattenout the spring washer or it will loose its spring,

I know your not supposed to tighten all the way, I did it so it can stop slipping. Do you have link or part number for the hd slipper .

part #5352r i havent put this on my truck yet coz i had bout 3 of the standard in stcock and the last i got bout 3 years out of it and i only changed it for routine matenince

the Robinson 3rd generation steel spur is the setup i use and and i love it! you have to use their bell gear along with it though as I've sheared the teeth off of a couple stock gears and your running a much smaller bell than i am but I'm sure Robinson would have other options for you. A bit pricy for two gears but since I've started using them I've never bought another gear and i see no wear as of yet id say about 3 gallons of use

It's not the spur gear I need, I need a strong slipper clutch, something that will hold better than the stock torque controll 3.3 unit.

its one in the same, the slipper is a large fiber pad thats behind the gear itself, tighting the nut applies more pressure on the gear againt the pad, ill post some pictures of it when i get home or tomarrow

I’ve run the stock revo spec slipper with the stock pads with little problems with some high torque BB engines. Other than increased wear rate of the pads I had no issues as long as the washers in front of the spur bearing are installed correctly. They are cupped and need to be installed like this () against each other otherwise the slipper nut will loosen even with a sb engine.
For better wear rate you can use the aluminum HD pads or do the brake disk mod. The 2.5 Tmaxx fiber brake disk fits the slipper pegs with a little modification to the holes to align with the pins for the pads and holds up very well.

Another extreme option is to make a complete disk out of T6 7075 aluminum and fit it on the slipper.

Snookman I took it apart and found that the two washer's () one of them was broken, I also found that the fiber pads were worn out. Do you think the brake mod or the hd kit would be a better choice?.

The brake disk mod works very well even with electric brushless/lipo powered rigs with much more torque than the .32 can dish out.
Its also very cheap to try.
