ok guys i got this nitro sport with the pro .15 on it.. it runs ok with what seems to be decent compression.. (this is my first and only small block to i have nothing to compare to) i recently came accross a os .12 cv really cheep.. its has good compression so I'm thinking about putting it on the nitro sport..

heres the question..

the .12 has a listed hp of .56.. does anyone know what the listed hp of the pro 15 is?? i know mine wont even come close to that but just for numbers i would like to know..
i already figured out I'm gonna have to cut the shaft..

my next question is, is it worth it?? seems like alot of work. the pro 15 still runs ok (again nothing to compare to) i mean if I'm not gonna see a big difference in speed and power ill wait till the pro dies.. but if its gonna help alot ill go ahead and do it..

thanks for your time guys..

You got it real cheap. So when the other one dies, drive the hell out of it.
Unfortunately, if you want an engine to go fast and have a lot of power, you have to spend some money.
It's the nature of the hobby.

Have you thought about porting the pro .15? Think I'll try mine after I get it running right. (not had time to mess with it)

IF you plan to race the 12 will be fine. We have an indoor track that we run in the winter and most of the guys run OS .12 cv's, some guys say the .12cv-r @ 1.0hp has too much power for that track. Most of the .15's I have looked at are rated around 1.2hp but not legal for race. If you are bashing, you may notice a little difference in performance between the 2 but not a lot.
