have to upgrade my servo for my t maxx 3.3 for a dirt track ...an i m thinking of buying the Spektrum DX2.0 DSM becuz it comes with a Z270 Standard Race Servo and a Z590 Hi-Torque Race Servo for around $180 but i wanna know are those servos any good for bashing and offroad and if not any other suggestions ?????? also does the Spektrum DX2.0 DSM have a reverse switch......

Well I'm pretty sure the Dx2.0 does not have a reverse switch . The Dx2.0 is a 2 channel radio and you would need the Dx3.0 ( 3 channel ) . As far as servo's go I tried the z590 in my T-maxx and it was alittle slow moving the big tires . I went to a hitec 645mg servo and it was better but still slower than I wanted .

For $180 you can get a better radio than a DX2.0. The MX-3FHSS has 18 model memory where the dx2.0 only has 2. It doesn't come with servos but the included servos with the DX suck anyways.

Yeap, cupooterluvr is right, the Futaba 3PM FASST is also $180, and I think it and the MX-3 FHSS are pretty much comparable. The servos that come with that system are not going to give you the power that you need to turn those big monster truck tires. You can get a HiTec 645 MG for aroun $25 shipped on ebay, and the nest step up would be a digital in the $60 range. Oh I just thought of another one. You can get the towerpro servo for about $20, it's the 995MG, and it's a lot stronger than the 645 MG and I think a lil faster.

HiTec 645 MG = 133 oz/in of tourque
Towerpro 995MG= 204 oz/in of torque

Now the towerpro is a budget servo, and you can't expect performance and duarbility out of it like a $100 JR servo, but it's definitely worth the $20. I stripped a servo arm on my 645 MG, and I didn't have another one for the HiTec, so I put the towerpro in my Axial AX-10 crawler. I put it through the paces out on the rocks and so far it's holding up better than I thought it would.
