In my 1/8 nitro buggy I had yrs ago & raced a little bit, I used to mix 1:1 car engine oil with high temp bearing grease & use that in the 3 diffs, just adjusted the amount of grease to get a different thickness, it worked pretty well actually. Could probably do that with the CD in the Revo to I guess to get a thicker oil.

Tried the silly putty - blu tack - diff locker putty = no good. Soon as the putty or whatever I had in there heated up (being kneaded by the gears) it would loosen up and the diff would cause massive front wheel spin.

The CD might be good on low traction surfaces where the grip between front and rear is nominal, but on high grip surfaces, I was having the troubles as I described.

Also, I found the CD promoted understeer.

Perhaps a CD would be ok with a 3.3, for short races on low grip surfaces - but I didnt have much luck with a bigger engine, bashing.

Also found that the plastic cup of the CD would push apart with thicker oils or putty - might have had more luck keeping the oil/putty in the diff if I used an alloy cup.

In any case, I have given up on the CD and have now put the FOC back in - actually find the car quicker with the front and rear locked as the power is no longer being transferred to wheel with least traction.
