The 10er is a rotary carb, so is the 10e, the er is the newer version and will only work on an engine that uses a compression fitting to tighten the carb to the block. The 10e has two threaded holes on the base of the carb, one on each side, and the HPI 15 FE uses two mounting screws to hold the carb on, not a compression fitting. So the 10er will not work, you need the older 10e version if you do go with an OS carb. It's a great carb and holds a tune exceptionally well.
