Well the people who helped and commented on my "Best rally shocks?" thread were probably not expecting this solution:
Shocks from a Losi Mini 8IGHT I had that was just collecting dust.
The reason for this is I was sitting at my workbench thinking about how I could fix this the best and cheapest way possible.
And then, the genius that I am I realised. (I am definitely a genius don't even question it.......)
Wait a minute are the shocks on my old Mini 8IGHT the same length?
Well it turns out I was almost correct, they were only about 2-3mm shorter. So I tested them and they work much better than the stock ones. Mostly due to the thicker shock oil that is in them.
But I wanted to switch to a thicker oil anyway so everything worked out nicely.
The only things left to upgrade now is sway-bars and the Škoda Rally 2 Body from Bittydesign.
