Universal body posts, how to mount

Parma told me that I needed these 4.5" body posts to mount my 1/8th Grave Digger body to my Savage:

How are these posts supposed to mount to my Savage?

BTW - The tall SUV posts that came with my Savage SS kit are not long enough to mount this body.

I have the same problem, I thugh that HPI whould have some aftermarket longer body posts to get the Suburban or long Hummer bodies but as I've not painted the body yet I've not looked for it. Keep me informed about your findings.

I think I am going to cut out a 3” x 1.5” piece of 1/8” hardboard, drill 2 body post holes in it, and then use body clips to attached the hardboard to my stock body posts (in the fully lowered position). I’ll then screw the new 4.5” posts into the hardboard.
