so i decide to go snow running today with my scaler but for some reason i dont have reverse, so i linked my sidewinder up to the computer to see if for some reason something had changed but nope everything is still set right....i changed radio and receiver, nothing, so i changed the motor wich is a brand new 45t to my holmes 35t and still no reverse, at all, doesn't even have the drag break!!!! whats going on???? i feel like I've checked and double checked everything possible....please no stupid answers/questions....no offense.

well damnit, these things are expensive lol....kinda weird, while i was sitting here messing with it i lost the steering completly and lost forward as well!!! i ended up taking my Y connector off and running the BEC straight to the reciever as well as the esc, still no forward or revers but i got steering back....I guess you are probably right Joe, i just dont want to think that yet lol.

You might want to contact Castle. Didn't Alpine fry one of their escs? They may do something for you, but I'm sure you would have to send it in to them, and wait.

yeah, i think it is fried....:( but i bought it for my first ax10 kit and its prolly got like 5,000 hours of crawling on it lol so i guess it did pretty good....

Everyone I've spoken to whose had to send stuff back to Castle Creations got treated extremely well and got either free or discounted replacement parts. Send it back to them with a note explaining the problem and see what they say.

Do you have the orignal receipt, and the speed control is less than one year old ? If so your good to go then give Castle a call and see what they can do for you. Make sure the brushes aren't stuck or sticky in your motor, if you run the motor and got sand, mud, dirt etc. It can cause you problems. Did the esc release the built in factory smoke yet ? Are you running a lipo ?

yeah I'm running the 3s, no smoke, and the one motor is brand new....i gave up on it anyways lol gives me an excuse to buy a mamba to put on my berg and take the sw off the berg and put it on my scaler....thanks for the help guys.
