Who here uses clothes pins for clamping there glued projects.
Well, if you do try this.
Get a piece of PVC pipe, cut into rings. The thicker, the stronger. I used 2 inch PVC, but the possibilities are endless. If you want super small clamps, no problem get smaller diameter pipe. You need delicate clamps, just slice the pipe thinner..and so on....You can also slice some fish tank air tubing and slide it on the jaws to protect the surface.
Check out the pics (thanks again X and Mahem)

Good tip/trick:)

What are you using to cut the pipe??? And do you have a list of how much pressure there is for a given size pipe thickness/size???

I use a chop caw to cut. You can use a hand saw no prob
No I didn't get that specific with pressure.

NCNitro, If you have a bench buffer I will get you PN# to the correct pad and compound to attempt it, trust me, it's a pain, especialy if you have never polished anything before.

Maxxcrazy88, The stands will be available soon, I just have alot on my plate right now, I promiss, it will be well worth the wait.

Yeah, I have a 6" bench grinder, I have polished aluminum but never titanium. I also have a piece I can practice on first. Any info would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Keep me in mind for one of those stands too.

Ok cool, if you have done aluminum you are on the right track.
I just don't want you to get discouraged and hate me LOL!!!
Monday I will pull up the old purchase orders and get the part numbers for the wheel and compound, I use a six inch setup myself so it will be cool.

Thanks Maxxamillion :D

I stripped the blue off my Racers Edge chassis braces and skid, and since they don't polish them before anodizing them they were rough looking. You could could see the cut marks, so I hand sanded them first with 180 then 220, then I wet sanded them with 400 then 600, before putting them on the wheel. They look awewsome now, but it was a lot of work. I used my dremel to polish the cutouts.

Don't worry I won't hate you. Like I said I have a piece of titanium I can try it on first before I try it on my titanium skids.

Smart move on the wet sanding, I didn't think of telling you to check the finish. 600 is fine for buffing. REMEMBER!! use kid gloves when polishing, the problem is , you get it to a certain level..pushit...ruin it. you will burn your fingers a few times LOL!! but after a little while you should get the feel. I wish I had some pics of the titanium I have succesfully polished so you could see the end result.. you will love it..remember don't get to carried away.
