they will work just fine. everything at the 2.5 lenght is the same. i have both a 2.5 and a supermaxx. sm is a project in the works.
my supermaxx consists of the nitro chassis, traxxas alum bulks, hardcore diff cases with kippster diff's, wide trac stage 3 kit, supermaxx bio racing wheels with mulchers and some other odd and ends stuff. I'm close to completeing, just need 1 more set of supermaxx steel cvd's and clutch set up.
everything is the same length. the only problem you encounter is makeing sure your pillow ball depth is set correctly. if not you will pop the ends out of the cups.
one other thing. the kit comes with titanium hinge pins. ti and alum dont mix very well, ti will cause a gallin effect on the alum. i sugest you make sure to take apat and clean your suspension on a regular basis to help keep the pins from freezing up on the arms.
now dont freak, its not like its going to happen the first time you run your truck, but if you run alot and just toss it in the corner and never clean it up then your going to eventually run in to a problem with the pins. if you already do a regular clean and inspection then your fine.
the other option you have to running the ti pins is to run stainless steel pins. stainless dont have the ill effects as the ti does on alum. the traxxas set of stainless pins has a good fit and finnish. but still dont disregard doing any cleaning and inspections.
