being new to this i still have questios. on a 3.3 is it normal to have the hsn 4.25 to 4.5 turns out it runs great there and any leaner it eats plugs. has a good trail of blue smoke does not stall but is running about 290-300 degrees. its is about 50 degrees out side and low humidity.

should i go to a cooler glow plug

thats how my 3.3 runs ;) ..stock settings are to lean for me up north ( Quebec Canada)..even during the summer i run at around 4.1/2 turns out on the HSN ...and they like to run hot ..mine runs between 280 and 300 and it rips :D...so you should be ok ..but try not to get it past 300 to much

traxxas is based in Texas ...and i figure the stock settings must be set for the warmer weather they have there .......diff parts of the world tune differently ;)

yeah, mac is right, every engine i have here in n.c runs way richer than stock in the winter, and at 90 % humidity in the summer, somewhat leaner, the thing to remember with these nitro engines is check your tune at every run, at the beginning of the run every time, and your engine should last a good long time, i tried my best to be patient and learn how to tune early, and have never burned an engine up yet....lol, oh and seems I've had a few traxxas 3.3,s that ran fantastic at 230 to 250, then others that ran great at 270to 280, but with good sound and good smoke like mac said you should be ok
