Ok, I'm sure I'm right, but when its hot you turn the HSN to richin it (turn it left) and to lean it (cold) you turn it right? I'm think I'm right, I got my maxx running good at around 250 degrees.

Yes to tune either needle you turn the screwdriver left to richen the mixture and turn it right to lean it. Leaning it tends to make the engine run hotter so be careful!

Jon, I think his question might have been asking that if it is hot outside you richen (turn left) the HSN and vice versa for cooler weather.

Either way, the T-Maxx owner's manual has a chart in it for tuning to different conditions.

OK when its hot it is normal you want to run it according to a few factors: Ambient temperature, Engine temp, how much smoke is being emitted by exhaust. If it is cold the air is more dense so you may have to richen it up since there is more air going into the mix. When it is hot the air is thinner so you may have to richen it as well. These are just a few examples so let us know what you are seeing.

Thanks Revv Rancher.

So, for cold weather I want to turn the HSN to the right? and hotter i want to turn it to the left? or the other way around.

sorry if I sound dumb.

Also make sure you do it in small bits at a time, about 1/8 of a turn every time you adjust you HSN, and then run it a bit and retemp and readjust if needed
