Hello everyone. I have a hyper 7 with macstar.28 motor. My problem is I cannot go to full throttle. No matter how fast or slowly I pull the throttle the car stalls. I reset carb to factory specs. I even followed the tuning guide in this fourm. I thought the motor had a air leak. I sealed it. After it stalls its very hard to restart. I also replaced the glow plug. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check for leaks in the fuel system and exhaust. Tank cap, fuel lines and pipe coupler. How warm is the engine getting? Lots or little smoke?

I thought there may be a leak someware. After checking I was not able to find any. Also there is allot of smoke. Even when I lean the motor out. My engine temps are 175-190 depending on how much i lean it out. I have a carb from an old axial motor. I plan on swapping carbs if they are the same size.

It sounds like it's just too rich still, your temps would be a lot higher if it was a lean issue. I would lean it out slowly until you see temps in the mid 200's, a trail of light smoke and a nice smooth rpm note in the top end, if it's hesitating or stuttering it is still too rich. Have you tried this guide?

yep I have tried the guide. I've leaned the car out untill very little smoke. Still no wot. Will run 3/4 throttle all day. Temps are now in 220 range.

Thanks for the help. I got the car to the point where I could hit full throttle. I decided to swap carbs. When I took off the macstar carb I noticed a broken o-ring. It was running great untill the pull start rope broke.lol

I would replace the o-ring or just seal the neck of the carb and not even bother with the o-ring. Sounds like your on the right track, have fun.
