ever since that happened with the broke clutch bell. my engine has been acting wierd. every time i got to start it. it over revs by its self. like theres something wrong with the slide or throttle linkage. i took the carb off yesterday to clean it and i made sure it was a little off center like it was supposed to be. maybe that could have caused it. I'm not sure. i know it starts always but when it has the igniter on it is revs really high. than when i take the igniter off it dies instantly. also it dies at WOT. it just shuts off totally. anyone??

You need to press down really hard when you install the carb, to make sure the O-ring compresses properly.

Running only with the igniter on is a sign of it being too rich.

its still at the same settings its been since i got it. weird that it would do that now. i noticed something when i was looking at it that the throttle return spring is a little bent and its loose. and I'm not to sure if i have the carb on the way its supposed to be with the little angle that it had. I'm not sure if that would make the linkage hard to move the carb throat back and fourth making it get stuck. cuz thats what seems like its happening.

but i wouldnt doubt its running rich. ill lean it out and see what it does. didnt get a chance to work on it all day cuz i had stuff to do but I'm gonna go do it now

Remove the linkage and make sure the slide moves freely. If it does, you only need to adjust the angle of the carb to where the linkage hooks up without any binding.

Not at all unusual. They are pre set for rich, and as it's breaking in you need to start leaning it for performance.
