hi, i have a REVO 2.5r a.b mods with a giant cooling head when i tune the car I've got the best performance of it at 290 degrees witch seem to be ok for those kind of engine but the problem is with the glow plug .. mine seem to get white and all bended.. is it because 290 is too high in temp or because i dont have the right glow plug for my setup ?

try a different' plug. . if ur using a hot plug go to a cooler one or vise versa. . .if ur using a cooler plug go to a hotter one

i currently dont know the rating of the one that on my revo rigth now its was on it when i boutgh it used

oh. . .well then. . .i would say buy one of each a hot one and a cool one and see which one helps ya. . .cuz with out knowing which plug you have in it now is making it hard

The glow plug looks like that because your tune is too lean. Forget about going to a hotter or cooler plug. Stick with a medium plug and tune that baby. I bet your engine tempertures are way north of 280 degrees. If you do not have a temp gun get one ASAP before you fry that mill.

You can check this if you do not believe me: http://www.rc-truckncar-tuning.com/Glow-plug-reading.html

If you can't get a temp gun right away, Spit on the engine by the glowplug. If it fizzles away right away it is way to hot. It should take like 6 or 7 seconds to sizzle away if it does you should be around the a safe running temp ;) And listen to RC use the med glowplug.
