I have a tmaxx 2.5 upgraded to 3.3 i just bought it off of ebay the guy i bought t from upgraded it.It has not been broke in yet i have the HSN 4 turns out and the LNS 1 3/4 out it starts fine and idles fine until the engine warms up then the RPM goes up and the truck starts jumping lke its going into gear then slippiing out i really need help i a have been messing with it for days and really dont know what to do i am a newbie so if you can help i will be thankful

Fatten up the LSN to get the idle down as it's idling too high, a 2.5 black trany that still has reverse the bucking is normal.

There is a fix for the bucking issue. Install the FOC kit and it will go away. Also the hex head set screw on the forward gear or the primary gear on the main shaft can be turned 1/2 turn in to make the bucking minimal to none depending on idle. This trick had to be explained to me over the phone and it worked for me when i still had the black 2.5 with reverse trans.

I found the problem,it was that i had a leak in the carb it was idle to high with the leak,i have another problem,it will sit and idle fine then i ease the throttle down it starts bucking like its something with the tranny but I'm not sure but if i press the gas hard it kicks into gear and runs great please help thanks

Thats how every 2.5 with the black tranny and reverse is its what everyone calls on here bucking. if you wanna fix that put a foc in it costs like 15 bucks shipped on ebay make sure you get the one with only a single gear tho.
