Ok, so I put "decent" tune on the maxx. It's got the trx .15 pro.
I've found that I can get it to run decent for most of the tank at or around 250-270 maxx. Nothing extrodinary, but for my experience and the engine, I feel it has plenty of power.
Here's what surprised me. Yesterday I was tuning ever so slightly to get it dialed in. As the tank reached near empty, it started taking off like a rocket, going lean and hot I assumed. So for giggles I whip out the temp guage, its running at 240. 20-30 degrees cooler, but with mre power.
I figured this had to be a fluke. I ran it again doing a lot of high speed passes to a jump, then a hard power slide turn, and a back to the jump.
At full tank it's kind of a dog, and it's warm (260-270), as it nears half/empty the power increase to more than I thought a .15 could reliably produce, at a lower tempurature.
So lack of power/hotter at full tank.
More power, less heat at the bottom. (perfect tune by all accounts)
when you would expect it to be lean and hot..
I've come to the conclusion that my fuel pressure is too high at full tank, and when the tank emptys, the pressure drops to near perfect, and the tune comes alive. The needles are perfect if the ressure was a bit lower I've tryed leaning it out, and it just won't work right.
does anyone know a way to drop the fuel pressure across the board? Any ideas comments or suggestions? I'm down for anything.
