Hey,

Laetly I've been having a problem with the low end on my XTM 24.7. Right after I start it it funs great for 1-2 min. and then it starts acting up. It's not really a big problem but kind of annoying. Anyway, what happens is it sort of pauses at one RPM for a little while and then takes of once it goes above this RPM. The RPM is kind of like right after you give it throttle the RPM's jump up a little, where all the torque comes in, this is where my problem is. Just after idle. It doesn't stall, but it seems like it looses most of its torque.

If I let it idle for a little while it doesn't help much. Does anyone know whether I'm too rich or too lean? It think it sounds lean to me but I want to ask you guys before I mess with it. What do ya think?

I think your right. It does sound lean. As you know its been kind of cold up here in the north east and whith cool air you get more air so you need to richen your needles.

What type of plug are you using? And is it old? What type of fuel are you running. Those 24-7 tend to run lean IME. I have dealt with only the ones on the mammoth but it was enough for me.

I'm running a Mcoy MC-59 plug with HPI 20% fuel. Probably around 2 gallons or so through it.

I think I'm gunna try richening up the low end slightly and see how that works and I'll let you know. Thanks for the help.

Its a slide carb.

As for the tuning, I was right I richened it about 1/8th turn on the LSN and it is now in my savage pulling wheelies all day long :D
