trying to run a 4.5R offroad

i have a team losi XXX cr and novak 4.5R brushless system, i figured it would work offroad, but its really slow, I'm thinking my gear ratio is highly off, does anybody have this chassis, what gear ratio do you run for offroad?

I don't think the issue is gear ratio; how is your gear mesh set? Does the car roll freely without a pinion on the motor? How about with the pinion on it?

I would put the smallest pinion and largest spur on the car, and see if that helps you.

I agree with Heartbreak. Give that setup a try. The 4.5 should have pleanty of power off road. Let us know.
