Trx pro .15 problems

Ok so I have a tmaxx classic and when I say classic I mean classic as in traxxas doesn't sell parts for it and I hve to use 2.5 parts. Anyway my problem is this... I was running it today and it abruptly shut off upon restarting it the wheels wanna spin when I try and start it. If I lift the truck up and let the wheels spin freely It will start however if on the ground it won't start. Now of I lift and start it ten sit it back down it will shut off. Anything that will stop the wheels an shafts from spinning it will stop the engine. My guesses are that it will not go into neutral so a problem must be in the clutch bell. So after inspecting the clutch bell I found that it will not spin freely. Is it supposed to?

You'll need to take the CB off and check the shoes and springs inside.

Ok what exactly am I looking for I've fought with those damn e clips and taken it off spring is good and shoes rly show no sign of wear.

If the clutch looks good, the bearing would be next.

Is the clutch supposed to spin freely? Because it will unroll I put on the e clip

When assembled correctly with the e-clip the clutch bell should spin very freely for quite some time.

Ok I'm just goin to get a new clutch bell shoes spring bearings. Everything that way I'm not tinkering with it
