I am finishing up a charity build for my buddy that is going through tough times, he had a TMaxx 2.5 that had been run maybe 2 hours since new. Anyway I have completely gone through and now to the point that all I have to do is finish tuning it and give it back. I have noticed on his 2.5 that it is really hard to pull the pull start if the glow plug is slightly too tight. I haven't noticed this with any of my other nitro rigs except for the revo with the 3.3. I am just wondering if this is a common TRX issue or am i shimming the glow plug incorrectly. I have tried an OS5, mc59, traaxxas long plug. used 1 copper shim and 2 shims with all the same result. any ideas?

Just sounds like either very high compression, tight pinch, or hydrolock. If it's hydrolocking then just take the glow plug out, flip the engine over, and pull the starter a few times.

thanks thats what I thought with a little run time I think it will get better. This was pretty fun never worked on a Tmaxx before below are the things that I added starting with a bone stock Tmaxx 2.5.

Originally I was going to replace the broken stock arm and tune it for him but I got a little carried away, oh well I guess if you do nice things they tend to come back to you.
