Does anyone else have trouble starting their 2.5? Once its going it's good, but its murder to get it started and running. Also, how important is header length for a basher? could i add 2-3cm on the stock header and still be ok? Thnks in advance.

No issues here starting one.

I usualy start both the Tmaxx and Revo up in a few seconds to a minute. Just make sure you got a decent shape glow plug and fuel. Then try sticking you finger in the tail pipe while cranking the motor. Now this takes about a half second on the Tmaxx to get fuel running to it. The Revo is about 2 seconds since it's got a longer fuel line. Just pop the body off and let your fingure off once you see the fuel flowing to the carb. Then the motor should start trying to catch for you. Just don't hold your fingure there to long or it will flood the motor.

Now it does take me a few minutes to get one up to running temp. There is sometimes I have to jaz the throttle while I'm still bumping the EZ start because it keeps dieing on me. This usualy only happens on the Tmaxx.

Best of luck

I've tried all of that. Its driving me insane. it'll start, then die and not start again. even after adjusting the needles.. maybe it's getting flooded? i dunno, i never used to have this problem with it.

Alright i got it running, turns out that the "C" cell plug ignighter wasn't heating up the plug hot enough for consistant starting... so i rigged up a 9 volt battery to it :hehe: i just hope it doesn't explode my glow plugs. Ah well it got it goin. I still would like to knwo about the header length though..

Oh I c...ya I'm still using the stock glow plug set up so I don't have the variable of a bad ignighter to think about. Anyways, I don't know much about the header stuff..sorry.
