TRX 2.5 temp question

Does anyone know the proper running temp for the TRX 2.5 because everyone says something different, some say 280 some say 230. It would also also help if you could include what the temperatures were outside at the time you got your measurements because it was 20 degrees here and the engine temp was 220-230. Thanks

PS: Sometimes the head steams is this a bad thing or just aro burning off, or just steam.

like EP said just keep it under 300 the 2.5 is know for its high temps i woul suggest getting a new head sometime in the future.

As for steam are you running in now or anything wet

yea i have the same question it seems like my maxx is running really rich because it spits out raw fuel but no matter how much i richen it, smoke still comes out of the head which i think it is over heating. any suggestions to what might be causing the problem will be greatly appericiated.

The head should nto be a problem if it steams. Face it, any moisture on a surfave that's over 200 degrees is going to steam off. Judging but the fact that it's winter as your head heats up it'll sweat just like a cold soda can on a hot summer day. Now if you've been running your truck tank after tank all day and you are still steaming of the head, and it's not raining nor humid, it could be something else completely.

I just bought the mutant cooling head from hardcore racing. I was running at about 270; not I'm at about 225, it makes a good difference and looks cool as well
