I'm new to the nitro rc world and i recently bought a used t-maxx with the TRX 2.5. I've only had it out a few times and the last time ended tragically. i just about spit the connecting rod straight down the middle. so I'm here for some more advice should i just do a rebuild on the blown up one or buy a 3.3?
now if i go with the 3.3 is there anything else i would need to do to make my truck hold up to it?

well you can go either way. I would prob get the 3.3. If you got th 3.3 route you may need the center shafts out of a 3.3 truck to help it live.

Center shafts, drive axles mainly if you put the 3.3 in it. I would suggest investing in a Davis Deisels connecting rod for the 3.3. They are a little expensive but you will never have to worry about splitting the connecting rod ever again.

alright so if i get a 3.3 where should i go about buying one? is there somewhere online that kinda cheap compared to a local shop

do the upgrade option if you are not trying to save the 2.5 for anything trade in your 2.5 for the 3.3 and you get the 3.3 for about 50% off and if your hobby shop handels traxxas you can just do the trade there.as for the shafts not sure i'd would just replace them when they twist if you ru hard won't take to long
