hi, i have a 2.5 t maxx, I've had problems setting it up, it idles very high and when i turn it down it just cuts out and i can't start it...

I've been messing aroudn with the settings alot and i want to start again from scratch...

can someone tell me the where the 3 adjustment screws would be set up from the factory... how many turns and in which direction. or a good place to start as nothign i seem to do seems to make a difference.

cheers

The high speed needle is 4 turns out

The low speed needle is 1 1/2 turns out

And the idle ( the slide ) needs to have around a 1mm gap.

To set them you need to turn them all the way clock wise untill it stops ( DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN) Then back it out to the specs i gave above.

When you set your idle turn your TX and your RX on then applie brake then turn your screw in or out.

woo... cheers guys works fine now, still having trouble with 2nd gear and I've now gotta replace the 1 way bearing in the pullstart :P

Your owb might just need a cleaning. Your 2nd gear trouble may have to do with the engine being a little rich yet. Make small adjustments, run it for a couple minutes in between changes and watch those temps closely. Good luck, bro.

i dont have anything to measure the temp with, except my fingers which usually tell me its f**king Hot :p

I've watched a couple of videos on you tube, to see when the t maxx changes gear, I'm pretty sure mine revs higher than the poitn it should change and yet still nothing... I'm not to sure which way the clutch in the second gear should go, I've had it both ways and its made no difference..

any idea's?

oh and the owb has fallen apart inside the little bearings came out...

yea i have been lowering it, its almost all the way out...

can someone tell me which way it should go around... ie which direction will does the drive cog spin to engage? cheers
