good evening ,
i finally had a few nice days and got the tmaxx broken in
i am about 4 tanks beyond break in and it is running 236 deg with the body on (no holes for cooling)
not running to bad alittle sluggish but i havent touched the LSN yet so it is still flush
will it hurt to run it this way or should i lean the LSN and the HSN to optimum performance and go with the flow or wait till warmer temps and thne tune
i do not want to not heat cycle it correctly and shorten the motor life ,
thanx for any responces
take care
rick

it should be ok the way it is. I will tell u my experiance I got my maxx broke it in and my maxx runs around 210 the LSN is flush and I am still reaching a top speed of 35 mph but I have cooling holes in my body and I just finished my 5 gallon.and I still have so much pinch and com that I can't turn my fly wheel by hand I have to loosen the plug. u should be fine till u can lean stuff out

tarant,
how powerful is it ,i have excellent top and midrange ,but kinda sluggish off the line ,
running 72t spur w/18t bell
lemme know
i also read for those that are interested that you can go as far as a 16t bell with a 72t spur ..
take care

If it is still sluggish off the line, you should lean or richen the lsn, depending on where it sits. If it is blowing a lot of smoke, lean it out a tad, if its bogging with little smoke, richen it. the 2.5 is pretty powerful. when i had mine, it would pull the front up pretty easily... its all in the tuning. Do you have an aftermarket cooling head yet?

Sluggish off the line is a LSN adjustment. Lean it in (clockwise) only 1/16th of a turn, and run another tank or two before leaning it again, if it still needs it. Keep an eye on the temps. Other than that, it seems to be okay.

Its got great power does wheelies then I put on my MIP and I can do wheelies some time but I have a better top speed. Like when I had the stock pipe and I was at 210 I could pull wheelies whenever but I would Top out at 33 mph and then I put on my MIP Pipe and I can do wheelies sometimes but I top out at 35-37 and I have good mid end. But I barrowed a friends CB and Spur and I whent down a couple of teeth and I could do wheelies when ever.I dont know what teeth they were but it was nice.

no i have not gotten a aftermarket head yet .i believe the stocker will be fine for now till it gets a alittle warmer out ,then i wil have to cut the body for cooling nad get a begger head,,
