i am thinking of geting the truckzilla mod for my truck can anyone tell me some hop ups i can get to get the best top speed out of my truck.
and would i need to get stronger dog bones and over things like that.

hi
if you buy a full truckzilla kit with engine you get stronger dog bones in the kit,but if i was totally honest the truckzilla kit is crap i bought one so i can coment on it,the wheels are to big can't go fast into a corner it just rolls over, the engine is a nightmare to break in and keep running the only thing thats any good is the inch longer tvps makes the truck more stable with normal tyres on (40 series, standard etc).the kit in england cost me £195 could have spent it on outher better stuff

I hope my Truckzilla motor isnt as bad as some say. I know it takes 7-9 tanks before its even suposed to run right. I just took mine all apart and it was extremely difficult. For anyone who has done that, was that sleeve a B----h, or what..? Any ways I hope for the best.

As for the shafts, I would say at least have spares if you run stock.. I plan on running the RC Alloys shafts all round. Those shafts a garenteed not to bend or break. Do the second gear screw mod on the tranny and lock tight good. Do the washer mod on your links, and do not, and I repeat, do not use the hot bodies tires. I was gonna sell em, and I wanted to try em.. I got a half a tank and stripped a hex.. You can epoxy the hexes in there but still I think the rim is weak.

I bought just the motor off ebay. I got it for $85. Had everything else.. now all I have is the motor.. hope she run good.

........To counteract the tendancy to rollover in turns I lower the suspension. I put limiters inside the shocks , removed some of the shocks ride height adjusters and change shock oil to 30 weight. That took care of my highspeed rollover problem.

.......... It is more like 10-15 tanks before it is completly broken in. After 6 tanks I believed that my motor was broken in , it would fire right up idle well etc was very docile, only would wheelie in the grass - until tank 15!!!!!! Then everytime I punched it from a standstill it would flip all the way over on it's lid!! :D

I,m presently breaking in a .46 in. It does run like crap! But that is typical in my experience when things a tight. As for hopups I would suggest that you spend the $ on the drive train, with the extra HP under the hood you need Metal in the tranny. I also suggest lowering the center of gravity and stiffening up the front end. I would also upgrade the pullstart rope the stock crap will break. I love the extra HP!!!
