is anyone currently running the truckzilla kit and happy with it?meaning fast i know it has a ton of torque, but what if you put a large c-bell like a 20t will you get the speed!!

i guess it must suck if no one has anything good to say about it!!!!

There are a few members that have this conversion. I only know of two or three members with it. They have not been on since I noticed your post. You might give it some time to allow them to answer.

I personally dont own one but everything I've read is that the engine (while having alot of torque) is not very FAST. I'm sure you could gear it to be but why spend all the $$ to go slower.

I'm trying to find someplace to buy the the CVPs and the drive shaft. I dont want the engine or the tires. And I'll just keep my Picco .26 which I'm very happy with.

I only have 4 tanks through my truckzilla, so I haven't ran it all that hard. But I can tell you the engine is only rated for 20,000rpm's compared to other .21's with 30,000rpm.

With relatively the same gearing and a lower rpm motor, you're gonna see a much lower top speed. You're best bet with running a truckzilla is to gear it absolutely as high as possible. The engine is a torquey one, so running it high probably won't hurt the low end too much, if any.

I had a Zilla conversion. It ran great, but had bad luck on it. About 3 weeks ago I was bashing and all of sudden it stopped and I was not able to restart it again. When I took out the glow plug to check it, the coil melted and dropped into the piston chamber. Long and short, my piston and sleeve got screwed. My bearings also got affected. I have now purchased a Nitro Star .25 engine to replace it. Otherwise, the .46 and the conversion was great. Well, sh_t happens right!
:(

its the bad luck i worry about they are selling them as low as 199.00 on ebay getting cheaper,i heard people having problems with the crank, might consider giving it a try thanks...hb1111
