i want to upgrade my savage 25 to truckzilla kit conversion is it really worth it i mean the truckzilla is it worth the power that the .46 engine has. or is it one of those engines that have a lot of torque and no psi.

I personally don't think it's worth the money.........really you can buy a .46 engine for around $100, just depends if you already have heavy duty drive line or not, like drive shafts and dog bonez should be heavy duty for increased power (or stock power even)...........

actually the price is right... $225

that's how much I got it for...

This is the kit w/o tires:

$100 = .46 engine with manifold (road rage price)
$240 = Hot Bodies .46 engine
$30 = tuned pipe
$15 = Manifold
$20 = engine mounts
$60 = extended chassis
$16 = heavy duty dog bones (4 pcs)
$25 = long rear center dogbone
$30 = complete clutch unit with clutch bell

Total with Road Rage's engine = $ 296
Total with Hot Bodies Engine= $436

Truckzilla package w/o tires = $225

with tires = $360 (road rage's engine)
with tires = $496 (HB engine)

Truckzilla Package with tires = $309

but know one will know... since I'm getting I'll let you know

I think it is an awsome conversion when you have 2 savages...

But I would agree with Road Rage that it's not worth it if you have a Savage 25

get a used one... use your old parts

that's what I am doing and I am going spend a total of $425

The HB .46 engine was designed to deliver mad torque to turn the oversized tires...

but like I said... I'll probably be the first here to have it... and let you guys know if it is worth it....

I was orignally going to get the twin engine conversion.. but that one doesn't sound like it is worth with it with this Truckzilla...

but you never know... just tuning 2 engines will be a pain versus just one...

Let us know how it runs and all when you get it going TRD........I for one am very curious as to how well the 46 is going to perform, as to weather it is just going to be all low end or will it have some speed to it as well, and how durable it is, hey I agree with ya all the way on getting a used Savage, even just a rolling chassis, but I can't see spending the cash if someone just has the Sav 25, not unless they just have lots of money to burn.

Yeah I am way interested to see how this conversion works out. I don't blame you for ditching the twin engine conversion idea. It would be hella hard to start. Besides the mad torque of that .46 has to be unreal. Get some vids dude.
