My Truckzilla is almost run in, can feel it getting more and more rapid with each tankful..........

Has anyone had any problems with the beast stripping spur gears??

I've only stripped one, so far.......... and to be fair the truck has got a lot quicker, just wondering if anyone had this too???

I was running a 49T spur, standard black HPI plastic one.

Just a thought, how tight should I tighten the nut that holds the spur and the spring on????

But apart from that, it is awsome!!!!!:cloud9:

If it's killing spur gears then something is not right. Your mesh must not be aligned properly or something has come loose for that to happen. Most people run the slipper nut all the way in then back off 1/4 turn else you'll overheat it and melt something.

Nice one!
I'll do that, just waiting for my Lady to go to bed then I can strip it down and tinker!!!

It is possible the mesh changed or that the engine moved, think it's red loctite time!!!!

Thanks for the quick reply, it's appreciated!

I'm Savage_SAVAGE over there, excellent site thank you!

I would not recommend RED locktight. You may never get the bolts out again. Just put some blue locktight on it and let it cure. (takes about 20 min)
